Webinar

This Continuing Education event aims to unveil the influence poor sleep has on daytime functioning. It highlights the potential for compassionate sleep programming to reduce problem daytime behaviors, improve skill acquisition, and increase willingness to learn.

Participants will gain insights into the potential for prerequisite sleep-skill programming during instructional time. They will learn how common daytime skills, when improved and learned to mastery, can significantly enhance outcomes for families at bedtime. Additionally, this event will provide evidence-based information about sleep which attendees will be able to use immediately to improve daytime functioning, skill acquisition, and reduce problem behaviors by improving sleep in the home.

CE Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the role of sleep in daytime functioning.
  2. Identify prerequisite skills and systems that can be easily practiced during the day and maintained by families at night.
  3. Apply considerations for accommodating learners with severe behavior profiles and medical comorbidities.
