Families living with profound autism and those who provide services and supports to them frequently live in the shadows. At Profound Autism Alliance, we hope to bring these stories to light.
We will do so by sharing them in a way that is always respectful and protects the dignity of those living with profound autism. Why? Because, from Washington D.C. to your neighborhood grocery store, authentic understanding can make a real difference.
Legislators must understand how hard it is to have profound autism or to provide care for someone who does. The public also needs to understand that people with profound autism exist and deserve to be included and supported as much as possible. It's time to end the isolation and increase understanding.
